No fallacy. Just an unsupported opinion.

Agreeing with Prof M's unsupported opinion. This could also be the result of a cognitive bias (confirmation bias), where the people who dismiss the CDC as 'unreliable' are doing so because it says things that clash with their strongly-held beliefs.

Not always. I consider CDC unreliable even when I agree with what they say.

I have seen CDC caught in providing misinformation and it is too politicized for my taste. But, of course, I don’t trust the government much to begin with, which means it does not take a lot for me just to sit back and (if I’m interested in the subject) seek information from other sources.

Can you provide a example of them spreading misinformation, from what I see, what they say is based of actual science and peer reviewed studies

One example is the CDC denigrating ivermectin, a drug that is successful in treating COVID-19. There are other examples, but this one alone is severe enough to illustrate my point.

Just looked at it, what they say is that it should not be used because it has not been authorized or approved by the FDA and that there is not enough data to recommend it. Will look in to it a bit more but it does not seem like they are spreading misinformation. Would also like to add that the fda has made a article on why you should not use it a treatment

Ivermectin was effective? Facts, please.

From what I read in a few sources and the fact it is used in other countries. A quick google gives a lot of information. But, I'm not concerned with debating its effectiveness. I am concerned that FDA or CDC (government) can prevent an individual from using it. What my opinion is (or yours or the government) should not determine what treatment a person can choose.
